PALO ALTO, Calif. - Dr. John Leonard, TRI VP of Automated Driving Research and Samuel C. Collins Professor at MIT, delivered a keynote address to the MIT Club of Northern California titled "The Reality and Future of Automated Driving."

Dr. Leonard provided a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities in automated driving and shared insight into TRI's unique approach that emphasizes Toyota Guardian(TM), which uses the automated technology to amplify human driver capability.
