Kumudra Aung is a senior technical program manager in the Energy and Materials division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). Kumudra has been particularly involved in the division's efforts to optimize battery manufacturing through a comprehensive data-driven approach and manages the portfolio of projects that fall under the “Battery Factory of the Future" program. In addition, Kumudra leverages her experience of growing up in Japan and working in Silicon Valley to liaise with collaborators across the Toyota ecosystem.
 
Kumudra received her B.Eng. in automotive engineering from Nagoya University, Japan, and her M.Eng. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Throughout her career, Kumudra has worked in the automotive industry and has gained a deep understanding of manufacturing and emerging automotive technologies and trends.
