Dr. Rumen Iliev is a staff research scientist on the Harmonious Communities team within the Human-Centered AI (HCAI) division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). As part of the HCAI division, he is responsible for study designs, behavioral data collection and for integration of behavioral theories with AI approaches. 

Dr. Iliev has a Ph.D. degree in cognitive psychology from Northwestern University. Before joining TRI, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, a data analyst at PERTS/Stanford University and a data scientist at Uber.
