Dr. Kate Sieck is director of the Harmonious Communities team within the Human-Centered AI (HCAI) division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). Dr. Sieck is focused on integrating social theory and context to the development of novel technologies. 

Prior to TRI, Dr. Sieck led research teams in the nonprofit sector (RAND Corporation), in marketing and consulting (OLSON, ReD Associates), and was a faculty member at several universities (Emory, Stanford).

Dr. Sieck holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Chicago, a master's degree in medical anthropology from SOAS in London, and a Ph.D. in anthropology from Emory University.
