Dr. Abraham Anapolsky
Dr. Abraham Anapolsky is the director of Advanced Manufacturing Research in the Energy & Materials division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). He is an expert in materials engineering with a focus on materials for renewable energy and has three decades of experience in photovoltaics, magnetic alloys, and Li-ion batteries.
Dr. Anapolsky leads the Battery Factory of the Future (BFF) team, working with Toyota's manufacturing operations to implement advanced data-driven methodologies to improve production and safety for Li-ion battery manufacturing, as well as general manufacturing that includes materials engineering.
Dr. Anapolsky is the author of numerous patents and publications in the fields of renewable energy, Li-ion batteries, and AI for materials. He received a B.S. in Physics from San Francisco State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California.
